Fernie Skating Club
The Fernie Skating Club is looking for an NCCP Intermediate STARSkate coach for the 2012-2013 season. Our season runs from the beginning of September to the end of April. We also hold a 3 week summer camp in August. In this role, you will have the opportunity to coach skaters of all levels, in all disciplines. For group programs, the club offers 3.75 hours per week (KidSkate, CanSkate, and JumpStart programs). The club also offers 13.75 hours per week of ice time for private lessons between the Junior and Senior Test programs.

Additionally, there are several other skating clubs in the area looking for supplementary coaching of test skaters with private lessons, totaling approximately 10 hours per week. So for a motivated coach willing to drive within 45 minutes of Fernie, the potential for additional income is very good, and strong growth in all of the Elk Valley's clubs is anticipated over the next few years.

Applicants must be dedicated, motivated, enthusiastic and supportive of team coaching. It would be an asset to have completed gold tests and some competitive ones. Knowledge of the current judging format is important. The successful coach will provide a Criminal Record Check, a current First Aid certificate and a current NCCP coaching certificate.

Fernie is nestled in the Rocky Mountains in south eastern B.C. We are a three hour drive to Calgary and only half hour to the U.S. border. Fernie is home to the world famous ski resort, Fernie Alpine Resort. In addition to great winter activities, Fernie also has amazing mountain biking and fly fishing on the Elk River. Mile 300 FSC—Fort Nelson, BC

The Mile 300 skating club is looking for an enthusiastic, committed head coach for the 2012-2013 skating season. Applicants must have NCCP Primary STARSkate certification (Level 1) or higher qualifications.

This position involves coaching at all levels in all disciplines. Our season runs from mid-September to mid-April, with up to 12 hours of club lessons and 6 hours of private lessons. We also hold a year-end carnival to showcase our skaters’ progress, which is choreographed by the head coach. A potential allowance is available for the successful candidate.

Fort Nelson has a beautiful new Recreation Centre that has been completed. The new centre has two ice surfaces to utilize and therefore we anticipate club growth over the upcoming years.

North Star Skating Club

Vancouver Skating Club

The Vancouver Skating Club (VSC) is a well-established club operating out of the PNE Agrodome, Ice Sports North Shore and Karen Magnussen Arena. Akasaka Figure Skating Club

Bentley Skating Club

Skate Saskatoon is hiring a minimum NCCP Level 3 certified coach for our club starting in September 2012.

Marathon Skating Club

Snowflake Skating Club
Snowflake Skating Club in its 36th year, located in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador, is looking for a Head Coach to oversee approximately 150 skaters in kid skates, CanSkate, STARSkate, competitive and Ice Dance programs, in both group and private lesson format.

Fort Smith Skating Club
The Fort Smith Skating club is looking for an Intermediate STARSkate Provincial Coach Trained (NCCP Level 2 )or higher certified coach to join our coaching team. The season runs from the beginning of October to the end of March each year. We are seeking an enthusiastic coach who is confident and able to communicate and work professionally with skaters, parents, other coaches and executive. Our club has approximately 40 skaters, ranging from CanSkate to STARSkate groups - up to gold level dances. We require someone to work 20 hours a week, 5 days a week, including two morning skates.

Fort Smith is a small, close knit community located on the border between the NWT and Alberta, on the edge of Wood Buffalo National Park, 1400 km north of Edmonton. There are many opportunities for outdoor adventure, as well as educational opportunities since we are home to Aurora College.
