National Teams
Skate Canada provides opportunity for athletes to qualify for nomination to the National Team, the Junior National Team, the Synchronized Skating National Team. Athletes who qualify and are named to one of the national teams may be considered for assignment to international events.
Each year a National Team weekend is held at which on and off-ice sessions related to training, sport science, planning and other such topics are held. A Synchronized Skating National Team weekend is held every two years for coaches, team managers and team captains.
