Launch of Athlete Commission Webpage

Skaters can now directly voice their concerns to their sport’s national organization through the newly created Skate Canada’s Athlete Commission webpage. The Athlete Commission is a new Skate Canada initiative and its goal is to give a voice to skaters of all levels in Canada and ensure that their concerns are addressed.

“This webpage will enable skaters to ask questions or voice their concerns or comments about any issues,” says Skate Canada Athlete Commission’s Chair, Megan Wing.

Only skaters members of Skate Canada will have access to this webpage.

“The comments and questions received will be brought to the attention of the appropriate Skate Canada committee(s) so that action can be taken,” says Wing.

The Athlete Commission consists of four main members and the National Team Captain serving as a consultant regarding National Team issues.

The Athlete Commission webpage will evolve as members get familiar with it and start using it.
