BMO Skate Canada Junior Nationals begin today

(January 11, 2010 - OTTAWA, ON) – The 2010 BMO Skate Canada Junior Nationals are set to begin today in London, Ontario at the Western Fair Sport Centre. The event runs January 11-14 and will host close to 120 skaters.

“The BMO Skate Canada Junior Nationals are the perfect opportunity for young skaters to showcase their talent at a national event,” said William Thompson, Skate Canada CEO. “I am always amazed at the skill that comes out of this event. Every year new skater’s jump onto the radar and London will be no different; we are looking forward to a great event.”

The event will have skaters competing in men’s women’s, pair and ice dance in the novice and junior categories. Skaters will be vying for national titles and also spots on the ISU World Junior Figure Skating team.
