Rev up your Canadian colours at the BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships
(January 12, 2010 - OTTAWA, ON) – Wear Canada’s colours on Sunday, January 17th at the John Labatt Centre. Skating fans attending the event are asked to wear red and white in support of our Canadian figure skaters.
Fans are also in for some great in-venue entertainment. From autograph sessions with skating greats Elizabeth Manley, Jeff Buttle and our current champions, to BMO Ultimate Fan and the BMO Power of Blue and the skatebuzz café. Fans are also encouraged to check out the sponsor marketplace where they can pick up some free swag from T-fal, Acuvue and IBAC. Artistry will be providing makeovers throughout the event and for fans looking for a special take-home souvenir they can get their photo taken for free in the Sony booth. There truly will be something for everyone!
The full 2010 Olympic team for figure skating will be presented to the fans at the conclusion of the Exhibition Gala on Sunday evening. Fans decked out in their Canadian colours will be part of a celebration and send-off for the team.
Skatebug is also back! The simple earpiece is designed to fit perfectly in the ear and will output expert commentary live for the in-venue fan.
